The second rehearsal for tomorrow’s high mass went well. Even though you could tell that people were tired (some more than others…) we made the final touches on Do What is Fair. We are now ready to perform it for the first time ever!

As a sidenote, one of the Norwegian girls, Kerstin (I hope I didn’t misspell your name), turned 18 years old today. So naturally, we all sang ”Happy Birthday to You” to her. Once again, congratulations, Kerstin! Maybe you can go out with some choristers and have a beer at one of the local pubs tonight? (not staying up too late of course! We have an important day tomorrow.)

Here is a picture of the birthday girl!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR KERSTIIIIIN, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOOO YOOOUUUUUU.

There are two concerts today:

The first concert, at 16:30:
Mädchenchor am Kölner Dom and Llandaff Cathedral Choir.

The second concert, at 20:00
Rigas Doma meitenu koris and Singknaben der St. Ursencathedrale Solothurm.

All the choirs are eating dinner at a nearby restaurant, Ciao Victoria. The choirs ate two at a time. I ate with the other choristers of Uppsala Cathedral Boys’ Choir and Nidarosdomens jentekor. The mood was very elated, everyone seemed to really enjoy it.

Smile for the camera! (At Ciao Victoria)

To summarize what I’m going to do for the next hours:

Enjoy the company of other choristers.
Have the pleasure of hearing two surely awesome concerts.

A rather typical day of Young Cathedral Voices 2013.
